Frontier embraces change. Since inception we've held tight to the belief that we would evolve as organically as possible; listening to our community and making smart choices. All the while keeping as focused a mission and as large a vision as possible. To this end we have a number of new initiatives in development that we believe will strengthen our mission and expand our vision.

Beyond Frontier

Frontier is currently developing a dedicated non-profit organization called Beyond. This effort will enable Frontier to expand its arts, cultural and educational programming more independently; by applying for grants, broadening our partnering opportunities, accepting tax-deductable donations directly from our community and widening our base of organizational, corporate and individual support. Frontier Passport Program

Working model: Frontier presents the Passport Program for kids. Join Janice O'Rourke as she takes kids on a virtual trip around the world through stories, songs, movement, art and food. Each "traveler" will engage in a one-hour, interactive journey highlighting a different part of the world.  Travelers will get a Frontier passport to be stamped at the end of a journey, a boarding pass, and a postcard to 'send home'. All journeys will take place on the last Saturday of the month, from 10-11am and will end with a regional snack at the café. The Passport Program is geared for 6-10 year olds and will be held in our cinema space. Parents are encouraged to relax and enjoy refreshments in the café!

 

Sister Cafés

Inspired by Sister Cities International, a global citizens diplomacy network, Frontier is developing its own network of cafes and other community gathering places around the world, and connecting them virtually through the power of new technology.

 

Viewfinder

Join us through the Frontier Viewfinder for stories from our friends and ambassadors traveling the wilder world – in images, video, audio and the written word.
